— We’d like to hear your thoughts on joining Yevlakh’s team. What are your impressions of the new club?
— First, I talked to Kanan Karimov. He told me about the club’s future plans. I decided that Karvan was the right choice.
— Did you have offers from other clubs? Why Karvan?
— Of course. I had one or two other offers. But I think this was the best choice for now, both for playing time and coaching.
— Lastly, you won the First League with Gabala. Didn’t they offer you a new contract?
— Honestly, we had a preliminary agreement with Gabala. But due to some details, it didn’t work out, so we decided to part ways.
— What can you say about Karvan’s goals for the upcoming season?
— The main goal is to build a strong team and be competitive against any opponent. Karvan has returned to the Premier League after many years. We want to make our fans proud.
— Your new head coach has been announced as well. How do you feel about Azar Hashimov’s appointment?
— I knew Azer teacher before and am familiar with his work. I believe his experience will greatly help the team.
— Karvan has signed players with Premier League experience, including Araz Abdullayev. Will you be able to revive the old days in your careers?
— This is a chance for Araz and me. Of course, playing in the Premier League again is great. If we wear this club’s jersey, we must give our best for the team. I believe it will be better. Since we have joined the team, I am confident we will contribute a lot.
