Sabah player Joy-Lance Mickels said this in an interview with Sportal.az after the first qualifying round match of the Europa League against Celje, Idman.biz reports.
The Masazir club's foreign player commented on the defeat in Baku: "Celje is an opponent who loves to play with the ball. This made things difficult for us. We lost with a last-minute goal. However, we have another match against Celje ahead. We will fight until the end."
He also shared his thoughts about the team's new system: "By new system, I mean we are playing our own game. Our head coach's style is good; we play attacking football. We are performing as we did last season. We will try to be better, play better football next week, and get results. I believe we will make a comeback."
Sabah lost the first match to Celje 2-3. The return leg will be held in Slovenia a week later.
