Following the end of the season, Rustam Ahmadzada has parted ways with Zira, where he was playing on loan, and is now waiting to hear from his parent club, Qarabag.
Idman.biz, via Futbolinfo.az, reports that the 24-year-old forward is still uncertain about whether he will remain with the Aghdam-based side.
Although Ahmadzada is under contract with Qarabag until the summer of next year, the final decision about his future rests with the club. However, it appears unlikely that he will return. Head coach Gurban Gurbanov, who is primarily focused on foreign transfers, reportedly does not have Ahmadzada in his plans for the upcoming season.
As a result, the club management is expected to seek options for a permanent departure. Despite the uncertainty, the winger has no intention of leaving Azerbaijan. Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, a return there is not under consideration. Instead, Ahmadzada prefers to continue his career with another team in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
Ahmadzada joined Qarabag in January 2022 from Ukrainian side Minaj.
