Argentinian football superstar Lionel Messi has congratulated Azerbaijan on winning the WMF World Cup.
The video message from the world champion was shared on social media by Azerbaijani businessman Adnan Ahmadzada, Idman.biz reports.
In his message, Messi said it's time to savor the moment:
“Congratulations on becoming the mini football world champion for you and for all the people of Azerbaijan. Congratulations again. I am sending you a big hug and enjoy it.”
Azerbaijan’s national team became world champions after defeating Hungary 4–2 in the final.
