This is what Qarabag midfielder Leandro Andrade told Idman.biz.
The 2024/25 season’s top scorer in the Misli Premier League shared his thoughts, saying he will do his best to continue his success:
"It’s the first time I’ve finished as the top scorer of a tournament. My main goal is to stay healthy every season and play in all matches. I know very well that if I play regularly and stay fully focused on my role on the pitch, I will improve as a player and create more chances to score. That’s exactly what happened this season."
Despite scoring 15 goals throughout the season, the 26-year-old Portuguese midfielder is not fully satisfied with the result:
"The support of my teammates and the opportunities given to me by the head coach made this personal achievement possible. I’m happy, but not entirely satisfied. I believe I can do better because I had more chances to score than just 15 goals this season."
For context, Andrade has been playing for Qarabag since January 2022, and his contract with the club runs until June 2027.
