- Here I saw a great country, a great city and beautiful people. They welcomed me with hospitality from the first day. I thank Azerbaijan for everything. Neftchi is the legendary club of the country. It is felt in everything. Therefore, it is an honor for me to play in this team.
- You are living the life of a legionnaire for the first time. How do you feel at Neftchi?
- I feel great here. I play in a beautiful football team under the guidance of a professional coaching staff. We have an excellent staff, a large training base where all conditions are created for football. In short, I am satisfied with everything here. I will try to achieve serious success in this great club.
- Some time ago there was a change of head coach in the team. Your compatriot Roman Grigorchuk was replaced by Azerbaijani specialist Samir Abasov. What do you think this change will do for the team?
- Both coaches are very high-level professionals who love football and dedicate themselves to it. Each has a football philosophy and vision of the match that they try to instill in their team. This is also reflected in the team's match. I hope that the change will only benefit Neftchi.
- Roman Grigorchuk was appointed head coach of Neftchi with great hopes. But the team could not win even one victory under his leadership. What do you think, why the job of the Ukrainian specialist in the Baku club was not successful?
- Roman Grigorchuk is a real professional in his field. He is a person who really loves and understands football. But this is life and sometimes there are various reasons that affect the outcome.
- Neftchi is ranked 8th in the tournament table with 10 points after 13 rounds. What do you see as the reason why your team did not perform at the expected level this season?
- In my opinion, there are many reasons for this. But this is not my duty. My job is to put as much effort as possible on the field so that the results are different.
- How much time do you think Neftchi will need to achieve successful results?
- I have no answer to this question. I think we are going in the right direction. I am sure that the team will succeed and be at the top.
- What can you say about your performance? Looks like you didn't quite fit in with the team...
- In any case, it takes time to adapt. But I think it looks that way from the outside based on the current results. In any case, I have to adapt as soon as possible to the championship, which is different from Ukraine. I believe I will succeed.
