Polish referees Bartosz Frankowski and Thomas Musial were punished.
It was caused by the behavior of the justice representatives before the Champions League match between Rangers and Dinamo (Kyiv), Idman.biz reports.
Poles, who were appointed as VAR referees for the match in Scotland, were replaced by other representatives of justice in the match because they violated traffic rules while intoxicated. UEFA investigated the issue and disqualified both referees until 2025.
Frankovski was the chief referee of matches of Azerbaijani teams many times. Last year, he scored in the Austria-Azerbaijan (4:1) match, in 2019, Dundalk - Qarabag (1:1), in 2022, Qarabag - Marseille (0:3), in 2023- managed the match between Partizan and Sabah (2:0, p.5:4).
