The CIES Football Observatory has published a list of the 100 most expensive football squads in the world.
According to Idman.biz, at the top of the list is Real Madrid, whose 34 players have a total transfer value of €1.728 billion. Manchester City follows in second place with 39 players valued at €1.471 billion.
Five other clubs have squads valued at over €1 billion. Chelsea (54 players, €1.388 billion), Arsenal (34 players, €1.225 billion), and Barcelona (40 players, €1.124 billion) make up the top five. Liverpool (34 players, €1.099 billion) and PSG (36 players, €1.088 billion) also rank among the top teams.
Two Turkish clubs have also made it into the Top 100. Fenerbahce's squad of 35 players is valued at €182 million, while Galatasaray's 34 players have a total value of €175 million.
