9 times in history, an African football player has scored at least 10 goals in a season. The absolute record belongs to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese striker scored 12 European Cup goals for Marseille in the current season. He is also the only player to hit the 10-goal barrier twice.
