Zaur Akhundov, the newly appointed president of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, shared his ambitions in a statement to AZERTAC, Idman.biz reports.
Akhundov emphasized his commitment to developing the sport: “Our goal is to elevate cycling to the highest level and see Azerbaijani athletes on international podiums. We aim for strong results at competitions and will work to enhance the professionalism of experts in this field. We want more people in our country who know and love this sport. We have clear plans ahead, and we will implement them step by step. We’ll also continue promoting cycling to a wider audience.”
