An extraordinary general meeting of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation was held.
Idman.biz reports that the event began with the national anthem at the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ administrative building, Idman.biz reports.
In his speech, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov greeted the participants and wished them success.
Following that, the Federation's General Secretary, Elnara Musayeva, presented a report on the work done during the past period. Federation President Madat Guliyev, in his speech, stated that he had done everything possible for the development of the sport during his time at the helm and then resigned, wishing success to the newly elected leadership.
Elections were held for the leadership of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation. Zaur Akhundov, the President of the Silk Way Group of Companies, was elected as the President of the Federation. Sahib Alakbarov was elected First Vice President, and Robert Eyyubov, Fikrat Huseynov, Rashad Gulmaliyev, Emin Mustafayev, and Albert Pitersma were selected as members of the Executive Committee.
At the end of the event, Zaur Akhundov thanked everyone for their trust and stated that he would do his best to develop the sport.
