Azerbaijan sends strong contingent to European Youth Boxing Championship

The European Youth Boxing Championship will begin on July 10 in Novi Pazar, Serbia.

The week-long competition will see the participation of the Azerbaijani national team, Idman.biz reports.

The boys’ team head coach Vagif Kazimov, along with coaches Agasi Mammadov and Teymur Mammadov, will field Gardash Rahimov (46 kg), Ali Aliyev (48 kg), Mahammad Rasulov (50 kg), Sadiq Musayev (52 kg), Raul Heydarli (54 kg), Aflatun Ismiyev (57 kg), Shahin Aslanov (60 kg), Hagverdi Hasanov (63 kg), Deniz Zeynalov (66 kg), Adil Zalov (70 kg), Huseyn Vahabov (75 kg), and Safdar Mammadzada (+80 kg).

The girls’ team coach Anar Bakhishov will test Aylin Nazarova (46 kg), Guler Huseynova (48 kg), Amina Taghi (50 kg), Jamila Muradli (52 kg), Zahra Mammadova (54 kg), Aynur Ismayılova (60 kg), Fidan Bakarova (63 kg), and Sama Abbasova (66 kg).

Anar Naghdiyev will serve as a judge at the European Championship.

The team traveled to Serbia under the leadership of Rovshan Huseynov, a member of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation’s Board of Directors. The boxers will return to Baku on July 17.
