The draw ceremony for the national beach volleyball championship for women and men, scheduled to take place from July 21 to 25, has been held.
According to Idman.biz, the event took place at the Baku Aquatic Palace and was attended by Vugar Huseynzade, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, Orkhan Huseynzade, manager of the national beach volleyball teams, and representatives of the clubs.
Vugar Huseynzade wished success to all the teams participating in the national championship.
Then Orkhan Huseynzade provided detailed information about the rules of the competition. He noted that the championship will be organized in accordance with the regulations of the inter-club European Championship held by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). The winning team will qualify for the inter-club European Championship. He also recalled that last season, Azerbaijan was represented in the European inter-club championship by the Azerrail women’s and men’s teams, who both became champions.
A total of 12 women’s and 11 men’s clubs will participate in the national championship. According to the regulations, each club can enter the competition with two teams and athletes over the age of 18.
