Sabah’s 11-game winning streak snapped

The winning streak of the men’s basketball team Sabah has come to an end.

Rimas Kurtinaitis’ side suffered a defeat in the third match of the final series against Neftchi, Idman.biz reports.

This marked Sabah’s first loss in the playoffs. The team had previously swept Sarhadchi in the quarterfinals and Shaki in the semifinals with 2-0 series wins, and they had also claimed victory in the first two games of the final series.

Before these six playoff victories, Sabah had already been on a hot streak, winning their last five games in the regular season.

The reigning champions had gone on an impressive 11-game winning run, with their last defeat dating back to February 28 against Nakhchivan. However, after 67 days of success, they were finally brought down.
