These were the words of Rimas Kurtinaytis, head coach of Sabah, as he spoke to the club’s press service following their second win over Shaki in the Azerbaijan Basketball League semifinals, Idman.biz reports.
Reflecting on the 96–72 away victory, the experienced coach expressed satisfaction with his team’s overall performance:
“We played excellently. By the final period, the outcome was already clear. Despite being the away team, we stayed composed. We’re satisfied with both the result and the quality of the game. Now we await our opponent in the final. I also want to congratulate Shaki for their strong effort in the semifinals.”
Sabah won both semifinal matches against Shaki to secure a place in the Azerbaijan Basketball League final.
