Idman.biz reports that Elnur Mammadov, head of the sports department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, said this while talking about the newly established "Ulduz" Football Academy.
He said that the new sports center will give a great boost to Azerbaijani football and the development of this sport in the regions in the future: "We would like these children to participate in our national teams in the future. Let them play in top clubs. I am sure that these children will participate in the future victories of our teams. They will be in front of journalists like me and give interviews. Of course, the main goal of this initiative is to contribute to the development of football. You can see that we have talented children in the regions. I am sure that such initiatives will stimulate the development of football in the regions as well."
It should be noted that "Ulduz" Football Academy was established in May of this year with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. At present, the Academy has teams of 4 age groups.
