Gurban Gurbanov's team hosted Braga in Baku. Having won 4:2 in Portugal, Qarabag made it to the 1/8 finals with great difficulty. 90 minutes ended with the rival team leading 2:0, and the winner was determined in extra time. Remaining with 10 men, Qarabag scored the necessary goal in the 120th + 2nd minute.
