Interview of Zamig Aliyev, a footballer of the Azerbaijani national team and the Albanian club Egnatia, to Idman.biz
- How is the life of a legionnaire going?
- Thank God, everything is fine.
- Two days ago, you lost to Dinamo Tirana in the final of the Albanian Cup. What do you think was missing for the victory?
- It was a good match, but unfortunately, we lost in the penalty shootout. Although the game was with our advantage, we could not use the opportunities we created. We have already forgotten that match. We have very important matches ahead of us. If we win against Partizani in the next game of the championship, we will reach the final. I hope we will achieve our goal.
- Do you want to continue your career at Egnatia, or do you have other plans?
- I haven’t thought about it yet. We will consult with my manager after the games are over. Whichever option suits me, we will take that step.
- Have you received offers from Azerbaijani clubs? In general, do you have any plans to return?
- There were offers from two clubs in the winter. However, I have no plans to return to Azerbaijan, I want to stay and play in Europe.
- When you transferred to Egnatia you said that your biggest dream is to play in Europe. So what do you dream of now?
- Yes, I have achieved this goal. Now I have bigger dreams and I am doing my best to realize them. I want to play in higher-level leagues. I am currently working towards this.
