Kochalski bids farewell to Qarabağ: "Thank you for everything"

Mateusz Kochalski has shared an emotional farewell message with Qarabağ supporters following his departure from the Azerbaijani club.

As reported by İdman.Biz, the Polish goalkeeper posted the message on his Instagram page, thanking the club and its fans for their support during his two-year spell.

"Qarabağ gave me the opportunity to experience my first adventure abroad," Kochalski wrote.

The 26-year-old emphasized that he was relatively unknown when he arrived in Azerbaijan, but Qarabağ became the club that made his dream of playing in the Champions League come true.

"I thank the club for the trust they placed in me and the opportunities they created for me to develop, and the fans who were always by my side regardless of the result or my performance on the pitch. I will never forget the moments when we celebrated the championship together.

Now it is time for a new challenge. I leave here with invaluable experience and memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Thank you for everything, Qarabağ!" the goalkeeper wrote.

Kochalski joined Qarabağ in the summer of 2024 and made 76 appearances for the Aghdam club. He won the Azerbaijan championship in the 2024/25 season and helped the team reach the UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-offs. His 40 saves in the competition placed him among the top three goalkeepers in that category.

The Polish goalkeeper will continue his career with Wieczysta in his home country.
