Qarabağ goalkeeper Martin Zlomislic has received a call-up to the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team for the September and October UEFA Nations League fixtures.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Bosnia and Herzegovina head coach Sergej Barbarez has included the 28-year-old goalkeeper in his 24-man squad. Zlomislic will be joined in the goalkeeping department by Salko Hamzic of Austrian club Tirol and Nikola Vasilj of Saudi Arabian side Al-Diriyah.
This is not Zlomislic's first call-up to the national team. The goalkeeper made his Bosnia and Herzegovina debut on November 19, 2024, in a Nations League match against the Netherlands, which ended in a 1-1 draw. He subsequently featured in friendlies against Malta (4-1) and North Macedonia (0-0). In total, he has made three appearances for the senior national team.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will begin their Nations League campaign on September 25 with an away match against Poland in Warsaw. The team will then face Romania in Bucharest on September 28 before hosting Sweden and Poland in Zenica on October 2 and 5, respectively.
Legendary striker Edin Dzeko has also been included in the squad. However, the 40-year-old Schalke forward previously announced that he will retire from international football in October. According to Dzeko, his final appearance for the national team will be the home match against Sweden on October 2, meaning he will not feature in the return fixture against Poland.
Dzeko is Bosnia and Herzegovina's all-time record holder for both appearances and goals, with 151 caps and 73 goals to his name.
