Argentina's new captain revealed after Lionel Messi's departure

Argentina's new captain following Lionel Messi's departure from the national team has been revealed, Idman.Biz reports.

According to The Touchline, Atletico Madrid defender Cristian Romero will become the new captain of the reigning world champions.

Romero made his senior debut for Argentina in 2021. The defender has since made 58 appearances for the national team and scored four goals.

The 28-year-old moved from Tottenham Hotspur to Atletico Madrid in mid-August.
