Azerbaijani volleyball player Ayshan Abdulazimova has wrapped up her successful career in Hungary with a remarkable achievement.
Abdulazimova spent a total of six seasons with Hungarian club Vasas, marking one of the longest stints abroad by an Azerbaijani athlete, Idman.biz reports.
She first joined Vasas in 2018 and played two consecutive seasons before moving to Turkey’s Sarıyer Belediyesi during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, she returned to Hungary and rejoined Vasas, where she remained a key figure until the end of the 2024/25 season.
During her time at the club, Abdulazimova not only wore the captain’s armband but also helped Vasas win the Hungarian championship five times.
The current season marks the end of her journey with the Budapest-based club, as she has decided to part ways.
