“It’s been a tough season, and I’ll take some time before deciding where to continue my career.”
These are the words of Azerbaijani national volleyball team player Ayshan Abdulazimova, who won the Hungarian Championship and national cup this season with Vasas, Idman.biz reports.
The experienced middle blocker shared that she has already received several offers regarding her future but is in no rush to make a decision immediately after the season’s end. Reflecting on the team's performance, Abdulazimova emphasized that Vasas met its goals set at the beginning of the season:
“We also did well internationally — Vasas finished third in its Champions League group and reached the semifinals of the CEV Cup. We also won the MEVZA Super Cup. Overall, it was a very successful run.”
Notably, Abdulazimova, the team captain, has now claimed her fifth national championship title with Vasas.
