He said that the mutual violation of the contract with the representative of Ankara was calculated for the more successful performance of the team: "This club has taught me a lot in terms of experience. My main reason for making the decision is because they are higher in the future. In the end, although they expected me to change my decision at the meeting, I said that I was firm in my opinion. My services are great for the team to be at the top. That's why I'm so happy. For the first time, I was the coach who brought the championship to Fomget, took the team to the Champions League, and brought the trophy to Ankara on the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Until now, no team in Ankara has won the Super Cup. They won it for the first time under my leadership. I am proud of the work of the Azerbaijani coach here."
Askerov, who is also the head coach of the Azerbaijan women's national team, said that he will focus all his attention on this team: "There are no offers yet. The national team is always important to me. I want to take advantage of the break and have some rest. After that, maybe some offers will come and I will think about it."
It should be noted that under the leadership of Siyasat Askerov, the women's national team of Azerbaijan rose from C to B division in the UEFA Nations League.
