Azerbaijan's national U12 rugby team is set to take part in an international tournament.
The team has already departed for Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Idman.biz reports.
The Azerbaijani young athletes will compete in the Zenica Cup, an international tournament for youth teams. Alongside Azerbaijan, teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, and Italy will also participate.
The Azerbaijani squad includes 14 players: Tahir Rahimov, Javad Ismayilzade, Said Zeynalov, Ibrahim Mehdisoy, Omar Ibrahimli (all from EAS Simurg), Tamerlan Aydayev, Azim Alizada, Ibrahim Alizada, Vali Valizada (all from Dunya Warriors), Ismayil Salmanov (Shamakhi OM), Ali Gubadzada, Hidayat Khalilov, Ziya Orujlu, and Nadir Ismayilov (all from Qarabag).
Eldar Karimov and Ilgar Gubadov coach the team.
