The U-15 and youth European Weightlifting Championship continues in Madrid, Spain.
On the second day of the competition, Azerbaijani athlete Musab Mammadtagiyev joined the contest, Idman.biz reports.
Competing in the U-15 category in the 56 kg weight class, our representative lifted 93 kg in the snatch, securing a gold medal. Musab also performed successfully in the clean and jerk, lifting 109 kg and earning a silver medal.
Thus, with a total of 202 kg in both lifts, our athlete was crowned European champion.
