The messenger app Telegram, led by entrepreneur Pavel Durov, earned over 340 million rubles ($4,299,938) from the sale of papakhas associated with UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov, Idman.Biz reports.
At the auction, 29,000 papakhas were sold at an average price of 10,100 “stars.” The value of one “star” is 1–2 rubles ($ 0,0126).
The 37-year-old Khabib Nurmagomedov made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2008 and had his first UFC fight in 2012. He became the UFC lightweight (70 kg) champion in 2018, defended the title three times, and retired in 2020.
