On the final day of the Junior World Championship in Zagreb, the Azerbaijani judo team won a bronze medal.
According to İdman.biz, Ramazan Ahmadov (+90 kg) defeated Serbian Matei Borojevic in the fight for the third place and rose to the podium.
Although Aslan Kotsoev (90 kg) also claimed a medal, he lost to the representative of Kazakhstan, Berikbol Jumanbekov, in the match for the bronze medal.
The Azerbaijani team won a total of two gold, three silver and three bronze medals and took the first place in the overall score of the world championship. Nihad Mamishov (50 kg) and Khadija Gadashova (52 kg) became champions, Mahammad Mamishov (50 kg), Mahammad Musayev (60 kg) and Abil Yusubov (66 kg) won silver, Mirkhalig Iskandarov (55 kg), Suleyman Shukurov (73 kg) ) and Ramazan Ahmadov (+90 kg) won bronze medals.
Japan (2-1-0) and Serbia (2-0-0) took the second place in the overall score.
