There are now 23 teams registered for the Judo Grand Slam, which will take place in Baku.
The USA Judo Federation submitted the last application to the Organizing Committee, according to Idman.biz.
Jack Yonezuka (73 kg), an athlete competing in the Grand Slam, has been "loaned" by the United States. He is the main candidate for an Olympic license in his country.
Yonezuka lost to Azerbaijani judoka Vusal Galandarzade in the championship match in the previous year's junior world championship, where she took home a silver medal.
It should be noted that February 16–18 is when the Grand Slam is scheduled to take place.
