A trial competition for the 3rd CIS Games in rhythmic gymnastics was held in Sheki.
According to Idman.biz, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation reported that 130 gymnasts from 13 clubs participated in the 30th National Championship, held on September 20–21 at the Olympic Sports Complex.
The athletes performed routines with hoop, ball, ribbon, and clubs in the age categories of juniors, adolescents, and youth.
Results:
- In the juniors category, Leyli Qayibli, Zeynab Ismayilova, and Mira Ozel won first place.
- In the adolescents category, Amina Novruzova and Gulnur Mammadli earned gold medals.
- In the youth category, Azada Atakishiyeva emerged victorious.
- In group exercises, the "Ocaq Sport" club dominated, taking all award places in the all-around and 5-rope programs.
