Azerbaijani athletes continue their competition at the Universiade held in the Rhein-Ruhr region of Germany.
According to the correspondent of Idman.biz sent to Germany, today competitions will take place in rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, table tennis, and swimming.
After the first day of the all-around, the Azerbaijani team is leading in the group competition. Today, the team consisting of Laman Alimuradova, Gullu Aghalarzada, Darya Sorokina, Kamilla Aliyeva, and Yelyzaveta Luzan will perform routines with three balls and two hoops.
In the individual all-around, Ilona Zeynalova and Kamilla Seyidzade will continue their performances, showcasing routines with clubs and ribbon.
In table tennis, the next group stage matches will be held. Our women's team, consisting of Khadija Abilzade, Nigar Mahmudova, Sabina Mammadova, and Zemfira Mikayilova, will face the USA. The men's team, with Amin Orujzada, Nihad Samadzade, and Tural Mirzayev, will compete against Chile.
Tennis player Kanan Gasimov will play his first match at the Universiade. His opponent will be Trevor Solomon Kazibwe from Uganda.
In swimming competitions, Fatima Alkaramova will compete in the 400m mixed style event. Nihad Yusubov and Rashad Alguliyev will participate in the 100m backstroke race. Said Hamidov will swim the 200m mixed style event.
