Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Ghana international Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United for £55 million, pending a work permit. The 24-year-old midfielder, who had an £85m release clause, has signed a six-year contract until 2031.
Idman.biz, citing BBC, reports that Kudus, who joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023 for £38m, made 65 Premier League appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists. He was a standout performer last season with 14 goals and nine assists across all competitions.
The midfielder revealed he was drawn to Spurs by the club's history and ambition: “I've always wanted to play at the highest level… it's a big moment.” He also credited new head coach Thomas Frank as a major influence on his decision.
Tottenham had a previous £50m bid rejected before sealing the deal. Kudus could soon be joined by Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, who is expected to undergo a medical ahead of a £60m move.
