Sabah FC has announced the appointment of Lithuanian coach Valdas Dambrauskas as the club’s new head coach.
According to information provided to Idman.biz by the club, Dambrauskas has signed a three-year contract with the Azerbaijani side.
The 47-year-old coach brings a wealth of experience, having managed several clubs across Europe. His coaching resume includes stints with Lithuania’s Ekranas (2013–2014) and Zalgiris (2014–2017), Latvia’s RFS (2017–2020), Croatia’s Gorica (2020–2021) and Hajduk Split (2021–2022), Bulgaria’s Ludogorets (2021), Greece’s OFI Crete (2022–2023), and most recently Hungary’s Diósgyőr in 2025.
Throughout his career, Dambrauskas has collected numerous titles, including:

Dambrauskas replaces Vasiliy Berezutskiy, who recently parted ways with the club.
