Today, Orkhan Mammadov, the president of the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation, met with members of the U-23 national team, who are set to compete in the World Championship in Croatia.
According to Idman.biz, Mammadov highlighted the significance of the young team's participation in the tournament, emphasizing the rapid development of minifootball in Azerbaijan. He expressed confidence in the team's potential and hopes that they will represent the country with distinction on the world stage. The federation president also wished the players success, encouraging them to bring home a brilliant victory.
U23 head coach Rajab Farajzade also spoke at the meeting, thanking the federation president for his support. He noted that the team is composed of promising players and expressed their ambition to achieve a strong result in their debut year at the World Championship.
The U23 Minifootball World Cup will be held in Mali Lošin, Croatia, from 7th to 10th October. Azerbaijan will compete in Group B with the teams of Colombia, Slovakia and Iraq in the competition with the participation of 12 teams.
