Germany head coach Jurgen Klopp has expressed satisfaction with his team's performance following a 0-0 draw against Greece in the UEFA Nations League.
İdman.Biz reports that the German coach was particularly impressed by his side's first-half display, despite their failure to convert their chances.
"I am very happy because I know where we started from. I am very, very impressed with the team. I am more pleasantly surprised than disappointed. I would not have believed that we were capable of playing the first half at such a level.
"The boys produced an incredible performance — top level in every respect, apart from not taking our chances and sometimes failing to see a better-positioned teammate in the final third.
"At around the 60th minute, we lost our way a little and our movements became less precise. But we played only three days ago, and it is difficult to maintain that intensity for the full 90 minutes against a strong Greece team.
"Our counter-pressing worked extremely well in 90 percent of situations. The problem is that in the remaining 10 percent, when it does not work, things can become difficult," Klopp was quoted as saying by Bayern & Germany.
The draw saw Germany and Greece share the points in their latest Nations League fixture.
