Dani Alves plans to buy portuguese third-division club and considers return to Football

Former Barcelona and Brazil international Dani Alves is planning to purchase Portuguese third-division side San-Juan-de-Ver and is also considering a return to professional football.

According to Idman.Biz, citing Globo, Alves is evaluating the possibility of resuming his playing career within the next six months. The initial plan involves a dual role, with the veteran footballer expected to contribute both on the pitch and in administrative and sporting management positions at the club.

Alves is targeting his debut and potential comeback for the next season. The move would mark his first official appearance since 2023, when he last played a competitive match.

It should be noted that Alves was arrested in Spain on charges of sexual assault, with the case lasting more than a year. In 2024, he was sentenced to four years and six months in prison, but the verdict was overturned in 2025 due to insufficient evidence.

During his career, Alves won six Spanish league titles and three UEFA Champions League trophies with Barcelona. He also claimed two UEFA Cup titles with Sevilla and won the French championship twice with PSG.
