Vinicius Junior’s future could shape Real Madrid’s summer transfer strategy

Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior is directly influencing Real Madrid’s summer transfer plans. If his contract is extended, the club will have to abandon major signings this summer.

According to Idman.Biz, citing Ok Diario, Vinicius himself wants to stay, and his representatives are preparing to resume negotiations.

The Madrid board still considers him one of the key players in their long-term project. However, if no agreement on a new deal is reached, the club is ready to consider a transfer in order to avoid losing him for free in 2027. Erling Haaland and Nico Williams are being viewed as potential replacements.

This season, the Brazilian has made 20 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.

Vinicius’ current contract with the Madrid club runs until the summer of 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €150 million.
