Vinicius Junior’s reaction to being substituted during El Clssico has caused irritation in the Real Madrid dressing room and among the club’s management.
According to Idman.Biz, citing Mundo Deportivo, the 25-year-old Brazilian was replaced in the 72nd minute of the match against Barcelona (2–1) and openly expressed his dissatisfaction with Xabi Alonso’s decision.
The report states that the club considers such behavior unacceptable, particularly since Vinicius is one of the team’s three captains. Sources also note that this is not the first time the player has displayed such emotional outbursts.
After the game, Alonso commented that “every player has their own character,” adding that such matters are handled internally. Real Madrid’s management has backed the coach and is ready to approve any disciplinary measures he deems necessary, though it acknowledges that the substitution might have seemed premature.
