The Sharjah Masters International Chess Championship 2025 has concluded in the United Arab Emirates.
Azerbaijani grandmaster Mahammad Muradli secured 9th place after defeating Hungary’s Adam Kozak in the final round, Idman.biz reports.
Muradli finished with 6 points, tying for 4th–9th place overall. However, based on tie-break criteria, he was ranked 9th.
He delivered a strong performance in the second half of the tournament, winning four of his last five games.
For the record, Anish Giri of the Netherlands claimed first place with 7 points.
