Azerbaijani chess players to compete at Sharjah Masters

The Sharjah Masters International Chess Championship 2025 will kick off on May 17 in the United Arab Emirates.

Three Azerbaijani grandmasters – Mahammad Muradli, Ahmad Ahmadzada, and Riad Samedov – will compete in the main A tournament, Idman.biz reports.

The top seed of the event is Uzbekistan’s Nodirbek Abdusattorov, followed by Anish Giri (Netherlands) and Parham Maghsoodloo (Iran).

Another Azerbaijani representative, Govhar Beydullayeva, will participate in the B tournament.
