In order to participate in the qualifying round of the European Championship, an educational seminar was held for the members of the Azerbaijan national team consisting of under-19 football players in Luxembourg.
Idman.biz reports that at the meeting, Seymur Salimli, the representative of UEFA on match-fixing in Azerbaijan, said, "What should we know about the fixed matches?" and delivered a lecture on "Our goal is to protect you and our football".
In the seminar, important issues regarding the fight against "fixed games" were discussed and experiences were exchanged. Local and international examples of spoken games were presented to the participants of the seminar.
The participants of the seminar were informed about the Convention on Manipulation of Sports Competitions, a number of additions and changes to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Physical Education and Sports, as well as the additions and changes made to the Disciplinary Code of the Disciplinary Committee.
