Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan could host the FIFA World Cup

On October 2, FIFA may approve the joint bid of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to host the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

This was announced today in Ganja by Uzbekistan's Minister of Sport, Adham Ikramov, at a meeting of the Council for Physical Culture and Sports of the CIS Member States.

"We hope that together with Azerbaijan we will secure the right to host the World Cup," the minister stated.
