The Shusha District Open Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling, dedicated to the memory of martyr Telman Alekberov, son of Iqdam, was held for the second time by the Shusha District Children and Youth Sports School, organized by the Qarabag Regional Youth and Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Idman.biz reports that nearly 200 athletes competed for medals in the tournament.

Tural Allahverdiyev, director of Shusha CYSS, stated that the championship has already become a tradition: “As long as the world exists, the memory of our martyrs must always be honored. The tournament provides participants with an unforgettable experience.”

The event also serves to popularize sports among young people and contributes to their physical and moral development. Shusha CYSS aims to continue organizing such events in the future, bringing youth closer to sports.
