Luis Enrique explains how PSG plan to stop Yamal and Pedri ahead of Barcelona clash

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has highlighted Barcelona's strengths ahead of their UEFA Champions League league-phase Matchday 3 encounter, emphasizing the importance of collective defending against the Catalan giants.

As reported by İdman.Biz, the Spanish coach spoke at a pre-match press conference, acknowledging Barcelona's improvement and the challenge his team will face.

"Does Barcelona have weaknesses? There is no perfect team. We are preparing for the match with confidence. We know that our opponents have become even stronger in every aspect. This is a very important game for us," Enrique said.

The PSG manager also singled out Lamine Yamal and Pedri, stressing that their individual qualities cannot be neutralized by a single defender.

"It doesn't matter who starts for Barcelona. We know all their players. Each of them brings something unique to the game. Once we see the starting lineup, we will be able to analyze their approach in greater detail," he explained.

"We have to act as a united team. You cannot stop Yamal's dribbling on your own or prevent Pedri from delivering his incredible passes individually. The entire team must work together to deal with them."

Enrique, who previously managed Barcelona from 2014 to 2017 and guided the club to a historic treble in his first season, is well acquainted with the Catalan side's footballing philosophy.

The Champions League encounter between PSG and Barcelona is scheduled to take place in Paris today, October 20, with kick-off set for 23:00 Baku time.
