Former Germany and Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos believes Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia should win the Ballon d'Or.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Kroos named the Georgian international as his clear favorite for the prestigious individual award.
"The Ballon d'Or winner should be Khvicha Kvaratskhelia! For me, he is clearly number one. Four players who played at the World Cup - Messi, Bellingham, Mbappe and Rodri - had mediocre seasons with their clubs.
"Kvaratskhelia is the best player and also plays for the best club in the world, both last season and now," Madrid Zone quoted Kroos as saying.
Kvaratskhelia has established himself as one of PSG's key attacking players following his move from Napoli. His performances for the French giants have strengthened his status among the leading contenders for the Ballon d'Or.
The Georgian winger previously played a major role in Napoli's 2022/23 Serie A title triumph, the club's first Italian championship in 33 years, before continuing his career in Paris.
The 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 26 in London.
