French club PSG are interested in signing Barcelona and Spain defender Pau Cubarsí. According to İdman.Biz, citing Tuttosport, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants to see him as a future replacement for Brazilian captain Marquinhos, whose contract runs until the summer of 2028.
According to the source, Cubarsí has also attracted interest from many leading European clubs thanks to his exceptional reading of the game, confidence, defensive accuracy and ability to build play from the back despite his young age.
This summer, Cubarsí became a world champion with Spain and was also named the best defender of the tournament. Earlier, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reported that Barcelona and PSG had agreed a €50 million deal for forward Ferran Torres.
