The Azerbaijan women's national volleyball team will play their European Championship playoff match today.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the team coached by Faiq Garayev will face Türkiye in the round of 16.
The match will take place at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul and is scheduled to start at 20:00 Baku time.
Azerbaijan qualified for the knockout stage after finishing third in Group C with eight points. The group matches were held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
The Azerbaijani team will now attempt to reach the European Championship quarter-finals against one of the strongest sides in international volleyball.
Türkiye are the reigning European champions. In the final of the 2023 European Championship, the Turkish team defeated Serbia 3-2 to claim the continental title.
