The first competition in non-Olympic sports and the awards ceremony took place at the ISSF World Shooting Championship in Baku, İdman.biz informs.
Petr Nymbursky became the winner in the men’s 50m rifle competition.
The shooter from the Czech Republic won the gold medal with 626.5 points. China's Du Linshu won the silver medal with a score of 625.2 points. Swiss representative Jan Lochbihler finished third with 625 points.
In the team standings, Norway ranked first, Germany second, and China third.
The ISSF World Shooting Championship held in Baku for the first time is the biggest event in this sport since 2018. About 2,000 athletes and representatives from more than 100 countries take part in it.
