The World University Games will kick off tomorrow in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.
The second group of Azerbaijani athletes has successfully arrived in Dusseldorf and will soon join the competition, Idman.biz reports.
The rhythmic gymnastics and taekwondo teams traveled via a connecting flight through Istanbul. A few hours after arriving in Turkiye, the athletes boarded a plane bound for Dusseldorf. Athletes from various countries, including Turkiye, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Macau, were also on board. Passengers spent their time in different ways: many rested, while others watched movies on their tablets.
Dusseldorf welcomed the athletes with pleasant weather.
The team is now preparing to complete the accreditation process and head to their accommodation facilities.
The opening ceremony of the Universiade will take place tomorrow in the city of Duisburg.
