There will be no Olympic Village at the World University Games, which will take place from July 16 to 27 in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region.
Athletes will be accommodated in hotels and university dormitories located in the areas where the competitions are held, Idman.biz reports.
The Universiade, which the Azerbaijani team will also take part in, will be hosted across 23 venues in Duisburg (near Düsseldorf), Bochum, Essen, Hagen, Mülheim, as well as in the German capital, Berlin.
Azerbaijani athletes will compete in 12 sports: athletics, badminton, archery, beach volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, taekwondo, canoeing, swimming, table tennis, tennis, judo, and fencing.
The opening ceremony will take place on July 16, and the closing ceremony will be held on July 27 in Duisburg. A total of 234 medal sets will be awarded across 18 sports during the multisport event.
